How is it calculated?

The peptide dose calculation has three steps:

  1. Concentration = (Vial mg × 1000) ÷ Water volume (ml) → mcg/ml
  2. Volume to draw = Target dose (mcg) ÷ Concentration (mcg/ml) → ml
  3. Units to draw = Volume (ml) × 100 → units on a U-100 insulin syringe

On U-100 insulin syringes 1 ml = 100 units, so multiplying the volume by 100 gives you the exact unit mark on the syringe.

Example

5 mg peptide + 2 ml water → 2500 mcg/ml. For a 250 mcg dose: 250 ÷ 2500 = 0.1 ml = 10 units.
